Firearms Instruction Responsibility Safety Training
F.I.R.S.T. Steps Orientation classes are great for those who either:
>Have never shot a gun and want to experience it safely under the direct supervision of a certified instructor
>Have already purchased a gun and would like the benefits that an introductory gun safety and shooting skills course can give them
>Have purchased a new concealed carry firearm and would like one-on-one training with that firearm and the specific mode of carrying. (example: snub nose revolver with a purse holster)
Each of the NRA F.I.R.S.T. Steps Orientation classes are designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific action type for each category of firearm (pistol, rifle, shotgun). These courses can vary in time depending on students prior knowledge of said firearm. Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; the particular gun’s parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the gun; and, continued opportunities for skill development.
NRA F.I.R.S.T. Step Orientation classes are abbreviated versions of the NRA Basic Shooting Courses for pistol, rifle and shotgun.
